Brownsberg 1 day

Approximately 130 km from Paramaribo, in the midst of the jungle lays the Brownsberg nature reserve at a height of 500 meters. The Mazaroni plateau offers you a spectacular view over the Brokopondo Lake. Brisk walks in the forest take you to various waterfalls where you can enjoy fantastic panoramas of the Amazon rainforest.

Nickerie / Bigi Pan

You will depart from Paramaribo and drive to Nieuw Nickerie on the engaging East-West connecting road. In Nieuw Nickerie you will learn about the rice culture, the market and Zeedijk (sea dike). Galibi 2 day

At the mouth of the Marowijne River, on a beautiful sandy beach, you will find the settlement of 750
Amerindians of the Kalinja tribe (the Caraïbs) who live mainly off of fishery and tourism. In the
laying season (Feb-Aug), various widely known and protected sea-turtles come here to nest and lay
their eggs, a unique natural phenomena which you will find unforgettable. Outside the laying season you will enjoy traditional singing and dancing from the local Amerindians.
