Prices

The departure days for the tours to and from the jungle lodges Palumeu and Awarradam are Mondays and Fridays. The tours are 4 or 5 day tours (3 or 4 nights). For the Kasikasima tour, you can choose the 8 day tour (Monday – Monday or Friday - Friday) or a shorter 5-day version (Monday – Friday).
The tour price includes: airfare, accommodation, meals and various day trips with a professional guide.

Awarradam

On a small idyllic island in the Gran Rio river, hidden in the Amazon rainforest, at the foot of the Awarradam rapid, lies Jungle Lodge Awarradam. This jungle lodge is located at a distance of a half hour by boat from the last found villages in the living area of the Saramaccans, descendants of runaway slaves. A visit to the traditional villages, interesting boat trips and a walk through the forest with information about medicinal plants will make your stay truly memorable.

Palumeu

After a flight of approx. one hour from Paramaribo you arrive at Palumeu. Here you will discover the untouched Amazon rainforest in the living area of the Trio and Wajana Amerindians and you will stay in the jungle lodges at Palumeu, located along the Tapanahony river. A sturdy walk to the top of Poti Hill, a visit to the Mabuka rapids and information about the flora, fauna and culture of the area are a guarantee for an educational and recreational stay in one of the most pristine areas in the world.

Kasikasima

This expedition trip is ideal for nature lovers who love a challenge! You depart from Jungle Lodge Palumeu on the river, filled with spectacular rapids, to the mysterious Mount Kasikasima. The intensive climb to the top will be richly awarded with a breath-taking view over the untouched Amazon rainforest. From the beautifully situated base camp you can fully experience the overwhelming flora and fauna in the area. A ‘must’ and absolute highlight for any adventurer!
