Recreation resort Cola Creek lies at a distance of 50 km from Paramaribo, in the midst of the savanna area.
Origin and general information
In 1992, recreation resort Cola Creek came under management of METS Travel & Tours. This resort offers you the opportunity to escape the hustle and bustle of everyday city life and to enjoy nature and the refreshing water of the creek or just relax in a hammock. The leaves falling from the trees in the water give it its dark Coca Cola color, hence the name Cola Creek.
Day program
The tour departs from Paramaribo, through the districts Wanica and Para, in the direction of the Johan Adolf Pengel international airport. On the way, a stop will be made to visit an arts & crafts workplace where you will witness how woodcarvings are made in the traditional manner, as well as a visit to an Amerindian pottery where you have the opportunity to buy hand-made pottery crafts. The tour will be continued to recreation resort Cola Creek where lunch will be served followed by the opportunity to swim in the refreshing water or just relax in a hammock. At 16.00 hrs, return trip to Paramaribo.
Included in the tour
Transportation by car or bus, lunch, snacks and fruit, drinks (non-alcoholic), Dutch/ English speaking tour guide. Special dietary requests will be considered.
Departure: 09.00 hrs from Hotel Residence Inn or pick up from one of the large hotels in Paramaribo.
Return: Same day, at 17.00 hrs. Transfer to your hotel.
